Hi & Welcome to the Dublin Kayaking & Canoeing Group,

Come join us every Saturday at 11:30am on the Grand Canal, Dublin.

Kayaking is a great way to build upper body strength and it's a good way to get back to a healthy life style. So, every Saturday at 11:30am come Kayaking on the Grand Canal for 1 hour for €15.

This group is all about having fun Kayaking on the water, meeting new people and socializing after in the Portobello Pub with a complimentary tea / coffee (inclusive in the €15 fee).


This is an hour long 2.5 km trip suitable for all levels from beginner to advanced. If you haven't tried kayaking before this is a perfect place to start. During kayaking our upper body gets most of the workout and it will improve your upper body strength, whilst also being a great way to unwind and relax after a stressful working week.

On arrival - preferably 15 minutes early in order to be on the water on time - the two trained instructors will provide you with short safety instruction.

If you want to hire a wetsuit, gloves and wet shoes there is an additional 5 Euro charge. There is a changing facility and a safe place where you can leave your belongings.

*Please make sure you bring with you a towel and a full set of dry clothes as you will get wet...Sea Kayaks have holes in them, but they float surprisingly well :) 

Following an hour splashing about in boats, we will then make our way to the Portobello pub for tea or coffee (inclusive in the price) or something stronger, if you desire.

To secure your RSVP a €5 non-refundable deposit (the remaining €10 to be paid in cash on the day) needs to be made via PAYPAL.
